Our Impact
How It Works
Welcome to Pankaj Social Service, where our mission is to empower communities through education, healthcare, and holistic development. As a non-profit organization, we are dedicated to creating lasting, positive change by providing access to essential resources and support. Our programs focus on delivering quality education, comprehensive healthcare, and empowerment initiatives that uplift individuals and families. At Pankaj Social Service, we believe that every person deserves the opportunity to thrive, and we are committed to making this a reality for all. Join us in our journey to build a brighter, more inclusive future.
At Pankaj Social Service, we are proud of the tangible difference we have made in the lives of countless individuals and communities. Through our educational programs, we have enabled thousands of children and adults to pursue their dreams and build a better future. Our healthcare initiatives have provided critical medical support and improved the well-being of underserved populations. Additionally, our empowerment projects have equipped individuals with the skills and confidence needed to overcome challenges and achieve their full potential. By fostering sustainable growth and development, we are creating a ripple effect of positive change that extends far beyond the immediate recipients of our services. Together, we are building stronger, healthier, and more empowered communities.
At Pankaj Social Service, our approach is community-centric and collaborative, ensuring that our efforts are tailored to the specific needs of those we serve. Here’s how it works:
- Assessment and Engagement: We begin by engaging with local communities to understand their unique challenges and needs. Through surveys, interviews, and community meetings, we gather valuable insights that guide our programs.
- Program Development: Based on our assessments, we design targeted programs that address key areas such as education, healthcare, and empowerment. Our initiatives are developed in collaboration with local stakeholders, ensuring relevance and sustainability.
- Implementation: With the support of our dedicated team and volunteers, we implement our programs on the ground. This includes setting up educational facilities, organizing health camps, and conducting workshops and training sessions.
- Monitoring and Evaluation: To ensure the effectiveness of our efforts, we continuously monitor and evaluate our programs. We use feedback from participants and data-driven analysis to make necessary adjustments and improvements.
- Sustainability and Growth: Our goal is to create sustainable change. We work with community leaders to build local capacity and empower individuals to take ownership of their development. By fostering self-reliance and resilience, we ensure that the impact of our work endures.
Through this structured approach, Panka Social Service is able to deliver meaningful and lasting change, helping communities to thrive and flourish.

Pankaj Shah was born to Indian immigrants in Kenya, Jivibai and Meghji Devraj Shah who immigrated during the World War II after a major drought in Gujarat, India. Both parents came in Dhows from the port of Porbandar and settled in Nairobi to start a new life.
Pankaj Shah is the last born in a family of 4 siblings. He got a simple childhood with education in Kiswahili, English and Gujarati. Pankaj attended a community school in Nairobi and Jain Pathshala. He continued high school in Nairobi and later dropped out of school due to financial windfalls. He later joined his family business and after around 8 years ventured into the travel business.
In 2020, Covid-19 ravaged the world. In Kenya, beyond the illness, there were lockdowns and curfews that saw many lose their jobs and livelihoods. To alleviate suffering during those unfortunate times, Team Pankaj was born.
On 21st March 2020, 1 week after the first Covid case in Kenya, we came together to help Kenyans in slums and informal settlements.
Led by Mr. Pankaj Shah, born and raised in Nairobi. It is with the blessings of Saint Teresa of Calcutta that Team Pankaj thrives today as we follow her principles of unconditional compassionate love for the poorest of our society.
Team Pankaj Foundation was formally registered in June 2021 so that more work could be done and achieved for the poorest in our society.
